Dalai Lama
"Man... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Wise Men of Our Time
If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.
Orson Welles
We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.
Orson Welles
I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.
Dalai Lama
If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.
Dalai Lama
Sleep is the best meditation.
Dalai Lama
There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.
Dalai Lama
As you think, so shall you become.
Bruce Lee
This film cost $31 million. With that kind of money I could have invaded some country.
Clint Eastwood
If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of.
Bruce Lee
The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.
Bruce Lee
Even death is not to be feared by one who has lived wisely.
Buddha

Why I Succeed
Why do I succeed?
I succeed because I am willing
to do the things you are not.
I will fight against the odds.
I will sacrifice.
I am not shackled by fear,
insecurity or doubt.
I feel those emotions -- drink
them in and then swallow them
away to the blackness of hell.
I am motivated by accomplish-
ment, not pride.
Pride consumes the weak -- kills
their heart from within.
If I fall -- I will get up.
If I am beaten -- I will return.
I will never stop getting better.
I will never give up -- ever.
That is why I succeed.
I succeed because I am willing
to do the things you are not.
I will fight against the odds.
I will sacrifice.

Men
Men don't die, they live. And you know how they live? They live like they are going to die.

Big Fish
There are two fishermen on opposite sides of a river. One is only catching small fish, while the other keeps catching big fish but continuously throws them back. The fisherman goes over to ask him why he's throwing back such big fish when he himself can only catch small ones. The other fisherman says, "My frying pan is too small for fish this big."

Quotes of the Day
The more I think I've figured out how life works, the more I realize I'm not out there living it.
- Sam
And like any journey, if you stay the course long enough, the road might just show you what you need. All you gotta do is keep your eyes on the road, and foot on the fuckin’ gas.
- Kenny Powers
Truth is, everybody is going to hurt you; you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for.
-Bob Marley
Sometimes you get the elevator, sometimes you get the shaft.
- Joe Rizzo
Show me a man with a tattoo and I’ll show you a man with an interesting past.
-Jack London
The largest portion of our life passes while we are doing ill, a goodly share while we are doing nothing, and the whole while we are doing that which is not to the purpose. What man can you show me who places any value on his time, who reckons the worth of each day, who understands that he is dying daily? For we are mistaken when we look forward to death; the major portion of death has already passed. Whatever years be behind us are in death’s hands.

Paulo Coelho
Don't live every day as if it were your last. Live every day as if it were your first.
"Impossible" is not a concrete fact. It's just an opinion.
Be creative. Remember that we only learnt how to fly when we stopped imitating birds.
There are moments when we say “yes” to others and in fact we are saying “no” to ourselves.
You don't need to explain your dreams. They belong to you.
If you only walk on sunny days you'll never reach your destination.
The warrior notes that the adversaries are there to test our persistence, our ability to make decisions. Adversaries are a blessing – because they force the warriors of light to fight for their dreams.
Many people are afraid to hope. They want to be prepared for failure.
Don't make important decisions in anger: you can always tell a person to go to hell tomorrow.
Let the beauty we love become what we do.
As I don't know about tomorrow, I never save the best for later.

Life Summed Up
When we're born we're given the opportunity to do whatever we want with our lives. The only catch is that there's a time limit, and no one knows when theirs is up. How we choose to spend that time is what makes life so exciting.

Serious Wisdom
This is my view. Time is a label given to something man insists it understands. In the scope of the universe our scale of time is so erroneous we have to constantly create new means to expand its measure. The very orbit and rotation our time system is based on insists that we adjust the very clock we developed to display this entity. If we can not open our minds to understand things beyond our comprehension we will never see the truths that exist. In our scurried search for answers we often create solutions to problems that do not exist. If we practice condescension onto those with imagination we will never free ourselves of the self imposed restraints that allow ourselves to be accepted of others, as ironic as casting one out just to be accepted by fellow casters is. Life is just a man placed label of measurement for any one length of existence for a being that we think we understand. We can not prove our origins or forecast our future, the same can be said about a high school student insists they know the troubles, pains and joys of aging to a senior citizen age group. When we experience the next phase we will have the answer. Only when we experience it can we speak with the ability of knowing.
